Praying for the Persecuted Church

“If a person fears God, she has no reason to fear anything else.” Beth Moore

Lord God --  Despite fierce beatings and jail sentencing, Paul and Silas still proudly praised You as their song echoed throughout the walls of a cold, dark prison. Today, Your children all over the world are being bullied, beaten, imprisoned and killed for being a part of Your family. Jesus, please give our brothers and sisters in Christ overwhelming peace and joy as they face situations of persecution. May their persecutors see You in their courage and may there be Paul-like conversions among them. May we use our freedom to stand up for our brothers and sisters around the world through prayer and action. Give us boldness in opposition, and let us never forget that Your joy is our strength. Thank you that no matter what humans do to us, our souls are secured and safe in You for eternity. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

"But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,” 1 Peter 3:14
