WHAT WE BELIEVE

“But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.” 1 Corinthians 8:6

The Bible:
We believe the Bible is the inerrant, living, and active Word of God, and the final authority on all matters of theology and our beliefs.
[2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 15:4; John 17:17]

God:
We believe in the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
[Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; John 14:16-17]

God the Father:
We believe God is the creator of all things, including humankind. God is sovereign, all-powerful, wise, loving, all knowing, and holy. When we accept Christ as our Savior, God adopts us into His family for eternity.
[Genesis 1:1;2:7; Exodus 3:14; Matthew 7:11; Ephesians 4:6]

God the Son:
We believe that Jesus is equally God and man, born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect sinless life, died on the cross as a final sacrifice for our sins, and defeated death on the third day. Jesus is alive today, and will return in the future for his church.
[Romans 8:2-6; Acts 4:10-12; John 14:6; John 3:8]

God the Holy Spirit:
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is equal to God the Father and God the Son as an active, divine, part of the Trinity. He indwells the believer as the proof of salvation, convicts sin, and restrains Satan and sin.
[John 4:24; John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:3-11]

Salvation:
We believe salvation is a freely given gift, according to the mercy and grace of God, to all that repent and believe in the Gospel, trusting Jesus as Lord.
[Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9]

“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
