To be a Praying Church

“There is no neutral ground in the universe. Every square inch, every split second, is claimed by God and counterclaimed by Satan.” CS Lewis

You are the God who hears us. Because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross, we can come boldly into Your throne room. Father, what an honor we have to be called Your children! Thank you that you are ready for us to call upon you. In Isaiah 65:1 you say, “The Lord says, ‘I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help. I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me. I said, “Here I am, here I am!” to a nation that did not call on my name.’” Lord, let it not be said of our generation that we did not see Your works because we did not ask for it. We pray You will make yourself known to our generation and our world because when we see you, everything changes. Let us remember the importance and power of prayer and the blessings we get from coming before You on our knees. There is no one like You, no one stronger, no one more able. May You be the only thing we run to, knowing our prayers are heard and that You are fighting for us. May we be people of bold prayer, calling on You to heal our families, friends, our nation and our world. In Jesus’ powerful name we pray, Amen.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 John 5:14
