Writing the Word: Galatians

Speculated as Paul's first letter to the early Christian churches, Paul writes to the Galatians addressing legalism within the church. Paul opens the letter sharing his powerful testimony and then begins to unfold the truth of the Gospel by declaring salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Paul rounds out the letter by speaking practical application to life of the Christian,  including an explanation of the fruits of the Spirit.

If you're like me, you may already love the book of Galatians because you know of popular themes from this book like, the fruits of the Spirit or verses like "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me" (Galatians 2:20a), or Galatians 6:9 which says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." But this month we are excited to pull back the curtain and look closer at the context surrounding these stand-out verses and concepts from Paul's letter to the early-Christians in Galatia.

Some of the writing segments may be a little longer than normal, but we know a few extra minutes in the Word will result in an abundance of knowledge gained at the end of this month.

As always, happy writing!
